To get a bit closer to your fans and track your stats, you’ll need access to your artist profiles (artist pages) on streaming platforms. Using the official artist tools, you can manage and personalize your account—for example, choose a profile picture, edit your bio, and add banners.
Here you’ll learn which streaming services allow you to access your profile and what special features and benefits are available.
One quick tip: Have your social media accounts ready when you request and verify your artist profiles on streaming services. It can take a few days until you get access and can make changes.

How do I get access to my artist profiles on Spotify and other platforms?
Request free access to your artist profile so you can customize it. Add your biography and a few great photos for your fans. You don’t need a paid subscription on the streaming services to get artist access:
- Spotify for Artists: request an account here
- Apple Music: request an account here
- Amazon Music: request an account here
- Deezer Backstage: request an account here
- Musixmatch (synced lyrics for Instagram Stories): request an account here
You can now view your Shazam profile and its stats via iTunes/Apple Music for Artists.
For TIDAL, Napster, YouTube Music/Google Play, and other special platforms, contact your distributor. Many distributors (for example, DistroKid) will also handle account personalization for these services.

Get access before your first release
Before your first release, it’s only possible to get access to your artist profile on Spotify and Apple Music, so you can add photos and a biography.
With Apple Music, you can request your profile easily via Apple Music for Artists after you’ve submitted your release to your distributor but before the song goes live.
To get access to your Spotify artist profile before your first release, you first need to upload your song/EP/album with your distributor (e.g., DistroKid) and schedule it for release. Choose a release date in the future (about 2–4 weeks), because delivery to stores like Spotify can take up to a week.
With DistroKid, click “More” and then “Streaming Service Goodies.” Select Spotify URI Looker-Upper, choose your release, and click “What’s the Spotify URI?” Your URI usually appears about a day later on that same page, so check back the next day.

If your distributor doesn’t offer this feature, contact their support and ask them to send you your Spotify URI.
Then send the Spotify URI to Spotify Support or enter it yourself in the official Spotify form — done.

Edit your artist profiles yourself
Once you have access to your artist profiles, you can edit them and add photos and your biography so real fans can get to know you better.
On Apple Music, you can edit your profile picture via Apple Music Connect. In Spotify for Artists, you can even add a banner, your bio, and an Artist Pick.

Release promotion – promote your songs properly
To promote your songs effectively, there are lots of things you can do by investing time instead of money. Promote your new release on social media, share stories, comment, and encourage your fans to pre-save your song on Spotify and follow your artist profile. This alone can generate thousands of organic streams.
With paid ads, don’t overdo it. Start with small budgets and define your target audience, because Instagram/Facebook ads, YouTube/Google ads, and services like professional radio plugging can get expensive quickly.
