LLast month our partner Plugin Boutique had some great synth deals and Vengeance Sound’s Producer Suite (VPS Avenger) was part of it too. We took a closer look at the VPS Avenger virtual synthesizer in a short review.
Vengeance Producer Suite Avenger overview
All-in-one and ready to use
Back in 2009 Manuel Schleiss developed the Vengeance Producer Suite for Vengeance Sound together with Keilwerth Audio but this synth sounds anything but old. Producer Suite Avenger comes loaded with modern sound presets and can be played pretty much right after installation. The 1000 factory presets are no joke—arps basses bells keys pads and even drums are all covered. Whether you want to craft your own sounds or you’re more of a preset person this synth gives you every option.
Some people claim Producer Suite Avenger is only suited for genres like EDM house techno trance and dubstep but your creativity really has no limits. Producers of hip-hop afrobeat and even pop can’t get enough of it because the included sounds are modern and highly versatile.
Here’s an overview of the included factory library sound presets:
- Arps
- Basses
- Bells
- Chords
- Drums
- Effects
- Instruments
- Leads
- Multiloops
- Organ
- Pads
- Piano and Keys
- Plucked
- Sequences
- Synth
- Trancegate
- Voice
Online you’ll find many expansions Packs like Funky House 2 or Slap House with additional sound libraries so you can keep expanding the synth with more presets over time. So if you don’t feel like building new sounds manually you can simply install an expansion pack.
A synth on steroids
Producer Suite Avenger is a fully featured synthesizer that can easily compete with other well-known virtual instruments like Serum or DUNE 3—it’s not just a simple ROMpler. Quite the opposite. Here’s a list of features and functions you get with VPS Avenger:
- Over 1000 oscillator shapes
- More than 600 multi-samples
- Over 500 wavetables
- More than 160 drum kits
- FX LFOs and filters

- Drum sequencer

Conclusion – is VPS Avenger worth it?
We are excited about VPS Avenger—and a little intimidated too because this synth is packed with confidence. The deep UI and the huge feature set can feel overwhelming at first. Still in our view all key functions are easy to reach and especially the preset search is very well designed. So if you want to skip all the extra bells and whistles at the start you’ll have a lot of fun with the included presets. Tweaking sounds later automating macros and knobs and going deep is always an option.
